Teams will demonstrate an understanding of the basic concepts of math and physics relating to stellar evolution and type Ia supernovas.

Added 01/20/12 Question: Does a tablet computer qualify as a laptop computer?

Answer: Yes, a tablet computer fulfills the same functions as a laptop computer.  
The only constraint is that like the laptop computer, the tablet must have 
the ability to turn its internet connection (Wi-Fi, 3G, or other) off for 
the competition.

Added 12/13/11 Clarification from Nationals:
3.c refers to “three content areas outlined above ….”
Those three areas are the list after THE COMPETITION: and 3.a and 3.b.
