WATER QUALITY - Division B
The event will focus on evaluating aquatic environments.

Question: (section: 3 / paragraph: c / sub-paragraph: / line: 5
Answer: At the State Tournament, any percent ± 1% in Division B and ± 0.5% for Div
C will be given full credit. For example, an answer of 7.5% will receive
full credit if the actual salinity is 8%

Stations
One station: Demo of salinometer.
The other stations will be divided among the topics in 3. a, b, and c.
Added 12/02/11 3.c. of the event description requires each team to build a simple salinometer and to bring it for testing to the event. Our event captain suggests this link "Making a Simple Salinometer" as a description of how to make a salinometer. There are many others on the internet. The students will take their salinometers with them to the events. Some time during the events, they will demonstrate their salinometers.
