MOUSETRAP VEHICLE - Division B
Teams design, build, and test one vehicle using one mousetrap as its sole means of propulsion to reach a target as quickly, accurately and close to their predicted time as possible.
Observers are allowed to watch this event. Observers may not approach or speak to participants while they are competing.
No coaching is allowed. Any observer who interferes or becomes loud will be asked to leave.
You may photograph or record only devices from your child’s school. You may photograph or record only your own child or, with advance written permission given to the head coach, children from your child’s school.
These restrictions also apply to students photographing and recording other students or devices.

No impound because the distance is set for Regionals by the event description.
Make sure the school and team name is permanently on the device.
A similar thin wire may be substituted for the paper clip.

Because the distance is set at 10 m for Regional Competitions, the Mousetrap B devices will NOT be impounded at our San Diego Regional Competition. The National SO event writer said that he agrees. The distinction between impounds at Regionals and other levels of competition is not in the event description because he did not have room on the page to state it.
